[SOLVED] Group Jive and other modules was created by softwareprofi
Hello Joomlapolis Team,

at time I'am designing a community website with the cb 2.02 and group Jive 2.7.0. The funktionality is ok, but I have a problem with modules, positioned at groups sites.

I have created categories and groups and a menu item for each group. On the group site I have positioned further modules (f.e. K2 Items) at the sidebar of the template. If I open a group from the menu it is ok, the further modules are shown at the sidebar. If I open a group from other cb modules (f.e. cb activity or cb groupJive --> there are links to groups), the further modules are not shown in the sidebar.

How can I fix that? I want, that the further modules are always shown, if a group site is opened.

Thank you very much for help.

You probably need to enable Dynamic Item ID so every GJ page will look for its menu item. Without it GJ will just use whatever CB Itemid it can find first. You can find this parameter within GJ > Config > General > Global. This will be improved in next GJ release where it'll just do that automatically.

Have you already realised that in GJ 3?

at time I'am testing my community site after the update to GJ 3 and have this problem again.

Thx for help.

Update: Problem is solved. I have reassigned the group menus to the cb plugin. Now it runs.

One more Update:

After reassigning the group menus it seems all requests are ok. Now I have assigned GJ in the user Profile, so the groups, the user has joined are listed there. If I call a group from there, the group site appears but without the modules at the sidebar. How can I fix that.

Thx for help.

Module display is based off menu assignment. Navigate to a page without SEF that isn't displaying your modules, check the Itemid in the URL, then assign your modules to the menu item associated with that Itemid.
