Hi Nant or Kyle,

I would like to set up the following fields side by side so that they are displayed the four next to each other, with then 4 following ones below it:

[Book Name] [Book author] [Language] [Radio field]
[Book Name] [Book author] [Language] [Radio field]
[Book Name] [Book author] [Language] [Radio field]
[Book Name] [Book author] [Language] [Radio field]

I cannot find how to do this... Am I being stupid here?

Preferably all 4 in a row would be considered as a single field for then searching in the userlist...

I am aware of the workaround of categorising them as Field "book 1" "book 2" etc... but would like to not choose it. To sum up, I am looking tabs within a tab.

You'll need to use a Custom HTML field with substitutions. You can substitute in individual fields or entire tabs if you like. Please see the below for usage information.

What you're wanting isn't really doable for profile edit without some CSS usage to move the field rows to be side by side.

OK I set it up now, I do need to display it on profile but later on. I have now set up the Tabs Book 1, Book 2, Book 3, Book 4 etc... with each one Author, Title, Language etc...

I have now created a userlist and would like to search it according to Author and Title of any Book tab. Is that possible?

For the moment, it shows me several Author or several Titel.

If the above is not possible, is there a way to say to the search engine: Search any of the displayed fields (without giving multiple search criteria to the user)?

No, it's not possible to search multiple fields from a single field on a Userlist. The only way to consolidate fields into a single search is to use CB Search Bot and use Joomla search module.
