Is there any Documentation for this? The PDF that is in the zip file only goes so far.

the way I want to use this is to have an administrator create all the groups and add users to the groups. I do not want to use Invites and From the User perspective they will only see groups not create any themselves. How can I easily do this? From the Backend I have to know the User ID to manually add them to groups. (this wont do....any reason why there isn't just a user list that you can select members from?) and from what I can see on the front end you have to do an invite.

the Site is for a Baseball league and I was planning to Use Group Jive to take all the registered players and have Groups for each division and team and when creating the teams add the players to there respective teams.

thanks

Nope - that's it.
But once the new GroupJive for CB 2.0 is released we will be working on more documentation,

GroupJive was primarily designed for frontend operations.
It goal is to let users self-organize themselves into common interest groups.

There is backend functionality to add users to groups but as you noticed you basically would need to know each user's id - not very friendly.

Suggest you do this from frontend. As a superadmin you can manually add a user to a group from frontend just by knowing the username.

When I do it from the front end is adds them but sends them an invite. I would prefer not to have th invites.

Also Is there any resource that explains how to use the CB GroupJive Auto?

I cant seem to find how that works

How can I easily do this?

From backend GJ > Groups and GJ > Users.

this wont do....any reason why there isn't just a user list that you can select members from?

Because it's designed for scalability. What happens when you've 100,000 users? That's a massive dropdown. We've plans to implement a dropdown with ajax capability in the future, but it's not yet available.

There is no easier way to create groups and force users into them other than what you're doing.

Also Is there any resource that explains how to use the CB GroupJive Auto?

Only the following tutorial, but the plugin is being deprecated in next release as CB Auto Actions covers the usage better.
