Am I missing something ? was created by wither98
It took me 2 months to convince my boss to purchase CB Pro and we finally just did. Now it seems as though it was a waste of $$ because nothing works with the newest CB. Everything I see is still being worked on or upgraded to work with it. Even Profile Book seemed like it would make our profiles look a lot better. I cannot figure out how to get my site to look anything like the demos I thought I had researched thoroughly. We also get no template/themes to make the profiles look any better with the Pro package ??? It says Bootstrap is included in 2.0 but when I load it, it says not compatible with my version of CB. Am I missing something obvious as for the advantages of spending $159 on CB Pro ? I can't seem to use any add ons and not sure how long I have to wait for these to be brought up to date. My site still looks as ugly as it always has and I thought spending this $ would fix that. Can someone please tell me if I'm missing the obvious anywhere or if I wasted this $$ while I sit and wait for things to be updated ?

Hi.

Almost everything is already compatible with CB 2.0.

See this page:
www.joomlapolis.com/cb-20-addon-status

Everything with a checkmark has been rewritten for CB 2.0.

Since CB 2.0 had many of the previously commercial add-ons now part of CB core, the CB Quickstart PRO package has not been upgraded for CB 2.0.

Instead you need to manually install each new CB 2.0 add-on (see previous link for direct download access).

So in summary.

1. Install CB 2.0.4 (over you CB 1.9.1 version if needed).
2. Download and install any CB 2.0 compatible add-on you need from the article link I gave.
3. The Cb 2.0 default template is now bootstrapped (so need for the old CB 191 CB Bootstrap plugin).
4. Once you install CB 2.0.4 run the CB Tools -> Canvas tool to reposition your templates based on the new CB 2.0 layout functionality.

Some great references that should help you:

1. Getting started articles: www.joomlapolis.com/documentation/community-builder/getting-started
2. Each backend CB 2.0 page has its own help button
3. Over 40 video tutorials here that will help you: www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLp0puRITgC7PuyzPsMUECDI46VE7IFSAX

If after all of the above you still have specific issues/questions please start a new thread for each one.

Hope this helps.
