Hi Nick,

Thanks this is better and clear for users.

Almost there... guess I messed up...
I have a community builder menu - login (public) and edit profile (registered) active.

I also created a new item 'user profile mandatory!'(public) in my user menu.

And I created a 'Community Builder Login module' (public) to show 'user login' on 1 menu in sidebar. This works for login, but is gone after I hit edit profile?

Hope you can tell me what could be wrong?

Thanks,

Pascal

Module menu assignment is 100% Joomla. CB has nothing to do with that. Modules assigned to menu items is also entirely based off the Itemid. So you need to view your site with SEF disabled, find the URL you want to assign a module to, check its Itemid then match it up with the menu item and then assign your module to that menu item.

In your case disable SEF. Go to profile edit. Check the Itemid in the browser URL. Find the menu item associated with that Itemid. Then assign your module to that menu item. In CBs case profile edit Itemid is typically the same as profile view unless you've created a Joomla menu item to CBs profile edit page in which case it should try to find it and use its Itemid.

Yes krileon,

Works perfect without sef :)
Had sh404SEF active, could this work with CB anyway?

Right now I have some other problem...sorry
Tried to clean up some 'tabs' but can't delete this one...

ps. I asked about the updates can I save remove these older plugins?

Thanks in advance,

Pascal

We only support core Joomla SEF, so I've no idea. sh404SEF is capable of custom SEF URLs. It's likely changing the Itemid of whetever URL it's rewriting, which is why your module doesn't load. At any rate CB has no control over this or what module is loaded where.

Core tabs can not be deleted. Unpublish them if you don't need them.

You can delete whatever you like as it's your install. Core plugins however can not be deleted and it will throw an error if you try to delete a core plugin.
