Substitutions not working in modules was created by tmoran
Hi,

I'm running Joomla 3.3.6 and have upgraded to CB 2.0.3 however my Substitutions no longer work in a module (they're working OK in articles). They worked previously in a module when running CB 1.9.1

Is there any add-on I require?

The following works in my Joomla articles but not in a module...

{cb:[cb:if user_id=""]You must log in with your Username & Password to access this content.[/cb:if]}

Have you upgraded your Joomla CB Content bot as per this article:

For substitutions in a module you need to use CB Content Module. CB Content Bot is designed for substitutions in Joomla articles and to be used with Joomla article objects. I've no idea if it'll work in other places that process content bots. This is in addition to Nicks comment as your CB Content Bot usage is out of date as it's now {cb}CONTENT{/cb}.

Hi Kyle

Just to clarify, when using the new format for substitution in Joomla Articles, how would you show some content if a user is logged in to the site and another set of content when logged out?

For example, in a Joomla article to show the text "Welcome" and then if the user is logged in display "Welcome [username]

Kind regards

Please see the examples at the bottom of the substitution tutorial as a substitution IF usage is exampled there for that exact scenario.

Specifically the below should work fine.

[cb:if user="#me" user_id<="0"]Not Logged In[/cb:if]
[cb:if user="#me" user_id>"0"]Logged In[/cb:if]
