I have been searching and have been unable to find a solution to my problem.
I have created a standard textarea field which is named cb_forumsignature.
I've mapped this field to Kunena via the CB Forums plugin.
When you initially create your signature and enter BBCode everything displays wonderfully in Kunena.
When you go back later and edit your CB Profile, however, the BBCode has been converted to HTML and gets stored as such. If you do not correct this on saving the profile Kunena's BBCode has then been changed to HTML, and thus does not display as Kunena only renders BBCode.
I cannot figure out how to prevent the BBCode being converted into HTML and stored that way.
Joomla version? CB version? Kunena version? I can't see how it'd be converted when going to profile edit as no such behavior is implemented in CB Forums core plugin. It just pushes the profile edit value to the Kunena database user row and Kunena then displays it from its own database.

For some reason, as I freshly woke up this morning, I had an epiphany. I have another component installed that does covert "code macros" into HTML for entry into certain fields within Joomla!.
