Login looks pretty good to me. Looks like it conformed to your Joomla template as designed. The CB Login module now uses Joomla style layouts. We've designed them to match core Joomla login module and even used same classes so they should always both look the same ideally unless your template specifically targets Joomlas. To restyle it you can create a Joomla template override for the CB login module and adjust it however you want.
As for registration the "Join us!" is a language string, which you can adjust by installing the English language plugin and editing the language string as needed. Additional language usage details can be found below.
For the description under "Join us!" that's the "Registration Header" parameter within CB > Configuration > Registration, which is also a language string and recommend adjusting the language string as needed.
For the image see the "Registration Title Image" parameter within CB > Configuration > Registration. It lets you select an image from your Joomla images/ folder, the CB default image as seen in your screenshot, or none at all.
