Might as well ask for help all in one post.

CB version is CB 1.9.1 from Quickstart PRO package.

1. Admins aren't getting emails about self-registering users, and users aren't getting emails about self-registering. Attached screenshots of User-Management-Config and CB-Configuration-registration. Yes, my user account is set to receive system emails. Mailer in global config is set to PHP.

2. Would love to use CB Auto Actions, Version 5.1.3, to have self-registering users be automatically logged in upon registering. Tried to follow these instructs with no success, it asks for a Username and I'm unclear what to put there. Tried [username] and it doesn't work:

3. Also tried to redirect after registering, but that didn't work either:

Test sending a mass mailer to your user within CB > User Management to see if emails are sending at all.

If the login method is set to username then you use [username] substitution. As you've on a much older release I've no idea if a bug is present in the action or not. Your install is rapidly going out of date and I recommend you make the move to CB 2.x whenever possible.

3. Also tried to redirect after registering, but that didn't work either:

You need to provide a screenshot of your auto action for me to advise on its usage. In your case you'd use the after registration trigger with access set to Everybody.

Thanks for this, something appears to be wrong with the mailer sys / hosting setup.


Your install is rapidly going out of date and I recommend you make the move to CB 2.x whenever possible.


As I've stated before, this is extremely frustrating for me to hear. I purchased CB Quickstart PRO only 3-5 weeks ago. I assumed that a trusted name like CB wouldn't sell/push an out-dated product, and apparently that was a poor decision on my part. I'd like to know, is there in development a CB Quickstart PRO update package?

The last thing a premium package should do for a user is make them have to do a complicated dev update only weeks after purchase.

I've already explained this to you in the below topic. Since then we've pulled all references to Quickstart Pro from our subscriptions.
