Access level user profile

9 years 9 months ago #258048 by pasquale1980
Access level user profile was created by pasquale1980
In CB 2.0.5 e CB ProfileBook 2.0.1 in the Tab ProfileBook there are the feedback received and it is possible to see the user (avatar, name, etc.) that left a Feedback and clicking above you can view the full profile. I wish this was not possible for a group.
I have two groups: Company and Student.
The Company can see the profile of the Student (but not your own) and the Student can see the profile of the Company (but not your own).
Access levels are set so:
Company has access to view the Student
Student has access to view the Company
So the student can not see the profiles of the same group and the same happens to the company.
In Tab "User account" in the general configuration of CB under "View Profile Access level" I set "Registered" and this allows to display the two cross-profiles, which I do not want.
I tried to set up a redirect with CB Auto Action with a check on the usertype and it works well, but unfortunately also prevents access to the user's profile logged in.
How can I fix?
Thank You.

Also with CB ProfileBook 2.0.2 the problem remains, if I login as student and go in the FeedBack received of the Company I can view the profiles of other students.

The avatar field uses getFields API with the list reason so it's linked thumbnail. You can't restrict this without restriction the tab it's own to a specific view access level. The name is not using getFields for the formatname so you can't restrict it at all. This will improve with its full upgrade release, but what you're wanting isn't very practical to CB. Hiding those hyperlinks doesn't work, but protecting their destination does; you can actually use CB Auto Actions to redirect away from profiles that aren't yours.
