CB Uses JQuery v1.1 right?
Is there any chance of upgrading it sometime soon? I know I can switch it off in CB2+, just curious.

Current version is 1.11.1. Why do you need jQuery 2.x? Directly from jQuery regarding 2.x compared to 1.x "jQuery 2.x has the same API as jQuery 1.x, but does not support Internet Explorer 6, 7, or 8.". At any rate, yes you can shut off CBs jQuery and load your own. jQuery also does not recommend using 2.x unless you're absolutely certain none of your users use IE 6, 7, or 8. We do however seam to be 1 point release behind so will upgrade that for CB 2.0.6 to 1.11.2.

OK, thanks - we read something incorrect. I think in the CB credits.
So here is another question: Is it possible to load another JS library? We're thinking particularly about Angular.

Thank for the info

You can load whatever JS you want. We've header functions to load in JS, jQuery, CSS, and more or you can use Joomla API to load in whatever you're wanting.
