I've looked at the tutorial again and again and mean to have it converted the same way but no changes are visible on my German page.
If I change the language directly in the plugin- language file (which would help only until the next update), it works and I can see my changes immediately on the website.
Some ideas?
Try changing the load order from last to first as if you're trying to override a plugin language string it won't work being loaded last. The tutorial is primarily for overriding default_language strings.
