After registration test with cb 2.05, Ajax verification of the username displays error :
{"valid":true,"message":"Le nom d'utilisateur 'test' est disponible."}

No idea why the jQuery response is breaking for you unless something is hijacking CBs jQuery form validation or altering the format=raw Joomla display by adding HTML or something to it. Try updating to latest CB 2.x Nightly found below.
If issue persists begin disabling things 1 by 1 until it goes away.
