The CSS provided won't make all inputs same width. Only Single and Multi Select fields in CB. All fields also already come with a unique ID that you can find by right clicking and inspecting element on the input then using its ID attribute as your selected (e.g. #cb_myfield). The CSS Class parameter found when editing your field adds the CSS Class to the input row and not the input directly (to give most flexibility) so you'll still need to target the input, which could be done as follows for example.

Code:
.cb_template .MY_CSS_CLASS_HERE .form-control { width: 400px; }

Your CSS Class parameter is set incorrectly. Remove the # and it should work fine.
