I changed the configuration to ImageMagick and i can change my profilimage without errors.
But if i want to upload a image with CB Gallery, i got the same error:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 100663296 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 16000 bytes) in /home/gbgmjcqy/ebt2014.de/libraries/CBLib/Imagine/Gd/Image.php on line 606

Is CB Gallery still working with GD?

No issues here on my testing.

What PHP version are you on?
What else do you have installed on your Joomla site?
The more extensions and modules you are loading the more PHP memory you are consuming.

It uses the same code as the image field. So the image software behavior works the same and is based off what is configured in CB > Configuration > Images. If it fails it'll always fallback to GD though. Check your server error log and see if any errors are showing before the memory limit is hit. I can't see why your image would work for an image field, but fail for CB Gallery as it's the same code. Did you test a different image for your image field or the same image that's causing issues for CB Gallery?

I don't see anything in the error log before the upload starts processing to cause this. It's running out of memory at imagecreatetruecolor, but it's only trying to allocate a few bytes. I don't have an explanation unfortunately. It doesn't make sense for the image to work for an Image field, but not in CB Gallery.

I've tested up to 30MB images and they all seam to upload and process fine in a reasonable time with reasonable memory usage. If possible you may want to ask your host if they can do some performance profiling during the uploading (generally via xedebug profiler) to see what specifically is consuming so much memory. I'm not seeing any major spikes locally in my profiler tests so it could be a PHP.ini setting that needs adjusting.

What dimensions and file size is your image? Wonder if extremely large dimensions could be doing this.
