CB Subscription migration from joomla 2.5 to joomla 3 ( CB version 1.9.1)

9 years 9 months ago #260184 by ameexusa.rmca
Hi,

We have purchased CB and CB subscription and we have completed the community builder component migration from Joomla 2.5 instance to Joomla 3.x.

We have installed latest Joomla package and using Sp upgrade to migrate the content and users and etc. we have chosen this option because some of the component not compatible to Joomla 3 which is used in 2.5 site.

I have installed new version in my 2.5 site and export the tables in insert that into my Joomla 3 instance and installed CB subscription ,

Now I am facing some mismatch(subscription list in dashboardCB ) in my latest joomla version. Please provide me the right direction to migrate the content to latest version of Community builder.

Note: Please provide the document, i can follow the instruction and i can update it.

Thanks

We don't have any migration tools. As long as the user ids have not changed you can directly export and import your _comprofiler and _cbsubs database tables. You don't need a migration tool when going from Joomla 2.5 to Joomla 3.x. Below are the steps for the mini-migration to Joomla 2.5 from Joomla 3.x. Once done upgrade extensions as needed.

docs.joomla.org/Joomla_2.5_to_3.x_Step_by_Step_Migration

Based off the mismatching you mentioned I am going to assume your migration extension changed user ids, which is going to basically break all of CBs user data mapping.

We also provide a Joomla 2.5 to Joomla 3.x migration tutorial that you can find below.

we have completed nearly 70% of the project by using the sbupgrade , we went for the process because some of the component not compact to the 2.5 site.

After migrate the tables of cb and cbsubscription , when i go to the cb subscription dashboard, in the subscription the active registeration count is showing wrong.

but when i go to the subscriptions page the result are same as in live environment.
like acitve subscription count and expired ,etc..

Why in dashboard the count is mismatch, please guide us how to overcome.

Thanks

There's 2 counters there. 1 is active subscriptions (any subscription marked Active will increment this count). The other is active registrations (any fully enabled user increments this count). Inactive users will not increment either of the counters (e.g. a user has an active subscription, but they're marked blocked). I can't tell you why it's wrong. Your migration method is not supported. I've no idea what data was corrupt or lost by your migration. Try running CBs database tools within CB > Tools to see if it finds any issues.

Hi,
Thanks for the reply.

I have uninstalled my cb component along with cb subscriptions. and flush all the related tables from my database.

Then i have done following process.
1) installed latest version (cb 1.9.1, cb subscription 3.0.0) in joomla 2.5 site.
2) extract all the related tables in joomla2.5 site( related to cb and subscription)
3) imported those tables in my joomla 3.x site
4)installed community builder and along with cb subscription .

After done all those mentioned process above the problem is still exsists.

Please guide me if i done anything wrong and anywhere , or else guide me how can i start migrate the contents .

Note: i cannt able to single click migration from joomola2.5 to 3 as mentioned in site.

Thanks.
