Video Tutorial For CB Content Module was created by Magic2014
Hi Guys Magic here:

Anyone know if Nick has a video tutorial (or any tutorial for that matter) on how to use the CB Content Module? I just installed the Coolness TMPLT and the CB Content Module that comes with it, and would like to know how to use it. I would like to know what it's for, what it does, when I might use it, and how to use it.

My preference is one of his video tutorials because they are so complete and operate step by step (taking nothing for granted - assuming user is first time and completely unfamiliar with product), but I can use standard tutorial if that's not available.

(dunno if I've just missed something, but haven't been able to quite figure it out from forum posts, so if there's a tutorial please forward my way. They seem to work much better)

Thanks
Magic

The CB Content Module parses a textarea fields contents through our substitutions. You can find a tutorial on substitution usage below.

www.joomlapolis.com/support/tutorials/107-use-cases/18353-using-substitutions-throughout-cb

For example to display a logged in users username you'd just add [username] to the "Text" parameter.

I have no issue doing a tutorial - I have no idea what it would include though.

If you read the tooltips and have a specific question maybe that will help me understand the tutorial need.

Okay, maybe I need to publish it and play around with it, and apparently the tooltips inside will help clarify its usage. It's just that on the download page where it downloads with the Coolness template, its unclear the purpose and use and usage of and for it.

I thought maybe just as you've got thorough and concise demonstrations and instructions on how to use lists and other features of CB, you might have something as well on this Content Module. (i.e. what to use it for and how to use it in plain English, just as the other tutorials)

Since Kyle says it's used for substitutions, maybe a demo on how and when to use substitutions, and how this module would work in relation to that.

Gotta run
thanks for getting back

The tutorial linked above details substitution usage already. As for an example the module already includes one for rendering the CB Menu as a module.
