Okay, I've been trying to do this for most of the weekend, and haven't succeeded, despite it likely being a simple one to address. I'm trying to customize my "my profile" page on my site, and am placing the tabs in the positions I want to (quite a learning curve on that one with all the positions etc!:)), but I'm unable to get rid of the default "tags" on some of this.

For instance, if I use the CB Alpha User Points tab, I'm getting something like this: _CBAUP_ID: ... , _CBAUP_Mypoints: ... etc, etc. Ditto for the CB Menu Tab, where I'm getting the "_UE_Menu_Edit" etc tags.

I'm sure there must be an easy to way to address this, but for the life of me I have not been able to find it as yet. :blink:

I'd appreciate it if someone could guide me on what to do - I have a feeling I'm not on the right track here. . .

EDIT: I've looked at the language files, and all the strings I've mentioned are both there in the appropriate language files (language.php for CB Menu, and the english.php file in the CB Alpha user points plugin), so I'm really not sure why this is occuring. . .

:unsure: :blink: (Unless of course there's one of those small config details I've messed up somewhere). . .

Can't help you with CB Alpha User Points plugin as we didn't develop such a plugin. CB Menu however should be translated fine. Sounds like you maybe have an incomplete CB installation or you're trying to use a CB 1.x language plugin which is not compatible with CB 2.x. Did you install any CB language plugins? If so try uninstalling them and let the default language plugin function then see if CB Menu displays fine.

Thanks for responding Kyle. No, I did not install any language plugins - I looked in plugin manager, but the only "language" type plugin there is the "default language (English)" language plugin. . .

Could it be a small setting somewhere that I might have missed? Beats me - I'm using the most updated versions of everything CB related, so not sure whats going on. . .

Are you using CB Auto Actions to add new menu items to CB Menu through a CB Menu action? That could cause it as we've changed some of the CB Menu array variables.

Nope, not using CB Auto Actions anywhere on the site. . .I use CBSUBS, so don't need to use CB Auto Actions. . .

Check the below folder and ensure the following files exist. If you see files other than listed below then delete them.

components/com_comprofiler/plugin/language/default_language/

admin_language.php
default_language.xml
language.php
index.html

Aside from that I've no idea unless some other plugin is trying to add a menu item to CB Menu. Try disabling non-core CB plugins 1 by 1 and see if it goes away.
