CB Gallery issues was created by agenziae20
Hallo,

I tried the new CB Gallery and these are my issue:

1) sometimes thumbnails doesn't all show up, if I refresh then some others show up

questions:
2) can administrator create default albums available for every user? (as I can see album are created on a user's basis, not globally)
3) can I put a watermark on photos?
4) how can I hide the filename and upload date?
5) where do photo's title and description show up? is it possible to remove them from upload page?
6) is there a joomgallery plugin tab for cb 2.0 or is the old one working?

and requests:
7) easier admin menu to approve photos (now admin needs to go to Community Builder->Plugin Management->CBGallery->Items and search for unapproved photos)
8) small thumbnails in photo list (now admin needs to open every single photo one by one to see what it is, before approving)
9) icon "on hold" to tell the user that his/her photo requires moderator approval

Regards.

Are you using localhost or a livesite? Very slow servers, localhost with sysmlinks, or errors happening in PHP (check server error log) can cause this issue.

2) can administrator create default albums available for every user? (as I can see album are created on a user's basis, not globally)

Nope.

3) can I put a watermark on photos?

Nope.

4) how can I hide the filename and upload date?

Yes, edit the template files found at the below location and adjust the output as needed.

components/com_comprofiler/plugin/user/plug_cbgallery/templates/default/

5) where do photo's title and description show up?

In the modal window and the photo box. You should see the title below the image and the description is a mouseover/click info icon. In the modal window hover the photo and both show up at the bottom.

is it possible to remove them from upload page?

Yes, edit the template files at the location provided above.

6) is there a joomgallery plugin tab for cb 2.0 or is the old one working?

I don't know. We're not JoomGallery. You'll have to ask them.

7) easier admin menu to approve photos (now admin needs to go to Community Builder->Plugin Management->CBGallery->Items and search for unapproved photos)

Integration with the Workflows module with an admin approval page is already planned.

8) small thumbnails in photo list (now admin needs to open every single photo one by one to see what it is, before approving)

This is entirely adjustable within CB > Tab Management > Photos > Parameters > Photos > Display by adjusting "Box Width". If you want to increase the maximum upload size of thumbnails that can be adjusted in CB > Plugin Management > Parameters > Photos.

9) icon "on hold" to tell the user that his/her photo requires moderator approval

I agree, there should be some sort of indication in the photo box that it's awaiting approval. Have added a feature ticket for this.

Hallo Kyle,

thank you for your quick and kind reply.

I am testing on a live site, I will check for php errors to fix the missing thumbnails display.

On question 8 there has been a misunderstanding, I was not talking about the thumbnails' size.
I just requested to have a thumbnail next to the every photo in the list that I see in (backend) Community Builder -> Plugin Management -> CBGallery -> Items.
This would be useful to avoid opening every single photo to see if it is good for approval.
Is there a quicker way to see and approve photos?

Regards.

I see, no that won't be added. There's not enough room for that. Backend also manages all gallery types and not just images. Frontend approval page will have a preview when possible.

Is there a quicker way to see and approve photos?

No, not yet.
