Uncollapsed search per default was created by startup
Hello,

I'm wondering if it's possible to expand the search in a CB List per default? I.e., to not only have it remain open showing the search fields after executing a search (as I know can be configured from the backend), but to have it show as expanded when navigating to a CB list (instead of just seeing the search button and clicking on it first).

Thank you!

Yup, edit your Joomla menu item to your CB userlist and set "Search Mode" to "Show List and Search".

Thank you, Krileon! I was looking always in the CB List configuration options and not in the menu item I had created.

Is there any way to also chose between a horizontal or vertical layout of the search fields I have configured for that list? I mean, right now I have three, and they're all stacked on top of each other on the left side of the list, leaving a lot of white space on the right. It would look a lot nicer, if the fields were next to each other horizontally as they fit, and breaking into the next line in case there are too many fields. Do you know what I mean?

If there is such option I don't see, or if there is a CSS trick I could use, that would be great. Thanks again!

No such feature is available. You'd need to use CSS to alter the field row displays. Right click and inspect in Chrome/Firefox to review the row CSS classes and IDs, which you can use in your CSS.
