private user access for clients

I am very new to Joomula and Community Builder. I am looking for a way to have my clients directed to their private information based on their sign in. I put each in a group but all registered users can see every registered user regardless of group. I was told that there was an plugin in CB to do that. If there is can you tell me what it is and how to get directions on how to use it?

Not sure I understand what you're wanting. You want to send them to their profile on login? Profile edit on login? You want them to be able to set privacy for their information? If you want to redirect them to their profile on login you'd edit your CB Login module within Extensions > Module Manager then under "Login Options" set "Login Redirection URL" to "index.php?option=com_comprofiler&view=userprofile". Please clarify further what you're wanting if my suggestion isn't correct.

After a client logs in I wanted them to be able to see the menu with their pages in it. I thought I could set permissions on a menu on the side bar but I was confusing user groups with permissions.

I do not need them to go to their profile but need a way to get them to the their private information sections.

I cannot list clients ( they are all confidential) so I need way to direct them to their unique section of the site with just their sign on.

Several people have told me his was easy in Joomula and that is why I started learning this platform. If you have any suggestions I would really appreciate it. I have been working on this issue for a week.
