CB Groupjive Menu Item Type

CB Groupjive Menu Item Type was created by victoriakim
I create a menu that has several menu items from Groupjive Menu.
I want to modify a few on these menu items but can't save the changes since the Menu Item Type is blank as a default and Select Button does not supports all theses menu items.
I was able to made the changes easy with previous CB version if I remember right(?).

GJ generates its menu items. They're not technically valid menu items, but it's forced via direct database insert. This will be fixed in next release where you'll be able to create proper internal menu items to GroupJive. You can right now with CB 2.x but there are no parameters for it and it may or may not cause existing generated URL parameters to go missing. This is done by selecting Community Builder > Plugin and set Plugin to "CB GroupJive". If the URL parameters are lost by doing this you'll need to modify the menu item in the _menu database table for now.

Maybe I am missing the point over here? Couldn't you not just copy the Link address, Change the type to External URL and paste the Link address back in? After that you can do whatever you want with the regular menu item. I think they just forgot t set the link type already in the forced database insert.

I think the point is that internal URLs are different than external ones.

I remember I read, somewhere in a CB forum, about using External URL menu type for internal URL is not recommended, I don't remember the reason exactly but something to do with SEO.

Yes you can use External menu items, but you will lose SEF formatting for them. For now that maybe the only option. I won't have this fixed until I start GJs upgrade.
