[SOLVED] Auto login after registration

[SOLVED] Auto login after registration was created by interstorm
Hello - quick question on something. My client would like users to register on the site and be immediately confirmed (no authentication email) and logged into the site. Under Configuration > Registration I have both 'Admin Approval' and 'Email Confirmation' turned off -- this appears to allow the user to be added in full immediately after registration. What we cannot seem to figure out is how to bypass the 'Sign Up Complete!' page and be redirected back to the home page while also being logged in. Is this something that can be done (I saw some discussion on Auto Actions -- not sure if that would be what is needed).

Thanks again for your help!

CB Auto Actions can do this with its Login/Logout action on the frontend after registration trigger.

Thank you -- is there a good starting point documentation for the Auto Actions?

Yup, there's a couple of usecases you can find in our tutorials section below.

In addition to the above Nick has been working on some videos, which you can find below.

There's also several usecases throughout the forums, which you can find by searching; I believe your specific usecase has already been posted as well.

Thank you and I've been able to install the plugin and create an action. When one registers on the site, I am seeing the user added to the system and the redirect occurs as desired, however the user still isn't logged in. At the moment we're getting a message stating "danger: Please complete the username and password fields.". I've looked through the forum and I don't see anything similar to what I'm doing (possibly I'm missing it). I've loaded screenshots of my configuration -- am I missing something?

You need to fill out the username parameter. In your case set it to [username] and that should be all you need to do.
