Trouble on CB and joomla registration. was created by alexcampa
I expose my case,

I have a site with joomla 2.5.8 and 2.0.7 CB

My site allows the user registry normal to see special content, and download manuals, till here everything is fine.

Then my client asked me to do an access only to distrbuitors to see contents that are not properly for registered users, rather can view calendars and other prices.

the problem begins here..

I was looking for solutions to generate two separate registers for different user groups (registered and distributors) and found Community builder; I configure it to make me a separate form for Joomla and auto plugin actions that generate user registration by CB this will send a group of distributors.

I tried it and it worked fine. and generates the load to the user group. but the surprise was when I wanted to make a final test first creating a new normal user (through JOOMLA registration) and where no longer works. when making the normal log IT TAKE ME to the CB login and do nothing. if I look at the back end user does not have any register.

what happened? can not exist two different registration forms? one of joomla and one from CB?

How I can solve this?

I hope you can help me.

thank you.

Correct, you cannot (and should not) have 2 parallel registration forms.

You should only use the CB registration form.

If you need to differentiate users you can use CB Conditionals to hide/show registration fields based on other field values (example: show field A only if user-type field B was selected).

There is a new CB Conditional video here that should help you get started:

You should also download and study the CB Primer book as it does tell you that you need to disable the Joomla processes.

No, but you can do that with CB Auto Actions. Specifically see the below tutorial on how.
