Switch to default Joomla template and see if issue persists. My issue is you've a CSS conflict that's probably setting the font-size to 0, line-height to 1, or something of the sort.

Switch back to your template, right click and inspect element on the button, next in the developer console review the CSS for the button (should be to the right of the HTML in Firebug) to see what's causing the button text to be styled away.
