I've set up a CBSubs solution for a client. It's been working brilliantly for over a year now. But yesterday we came across a minor problem and I can't figure out why CBSubs is behaving the way it is.
Set up a "Corporate" plan for companies that sponsor the club. The plan only has 14 members and they have all been set up by an administrator as we don't want to present the plan to regular users as an upgrade possibility.
The problem came up the other day when a Corporate member logged in and tried to upgrade their profile (Member Menu> Edit My Profile). When they did so they were presented with a Warning "Access to this menu item not allowed without membership", and presented with an upgrade possibility to a regular plan despite the fact that they already have, and have paid for, a Corporate membership.

Sounds like you're protecting the profile edit URL. Either using By URL Part protection or Menu protection. The problem is you're protecting it with your free plan, but not protecting it with your corporate plan so your corporate plan does not give access to it. If they're both parents and exclusive (e.g. can't subscribe to both at same time) then they don't have access to the free plan stuff unless the corporate plan also protects the same stuff.
