[SOLVED] How to approve avatar image was created by autobahn
CB 2.0.7
Joomla 3.1.3

I've received an email saying that an avatar image has been uploaded and needs approval. The email did not include details of the user concerned.

If I log in as admin on the backend I can't find any way to approve (or otherwise) this image. If I log in as admin on the frontend there is no message to say that an image is waiting for approval.

I have checked that CB Workflows is published.

How do I go about finding the user in question and approving the avatar?

Thanks

We don't have a filter for backend right now to filter to the list of users that have an avatar that needs approval, but we've a feature ticket pending to add that.

The best way to approve them is to either have a menu item to the image approval page or using CB Workflows module, which should display a linked counter to the approval page with the number of images needing approval in the link.

Also the image approval email supports substitutions so you could modify the language string UE_IMAGE_ADMIN_MSG to include their username, name, etc...

Thanks for the quick response.

I have the CB Workflows module installed and published but no linked counter appears that I've been able to find. Frontend? Backend?

Anyway, I've set up a menu item on the Administrators Menu which seems to be an acceptable solution. Even so, I'm looking forward to the future facility to do it from the backend.

Thanks for the info about the language string - I'll make appropriate chnages.

Edit your CB Workflows module and ensure "Image Approval Notification" is enabled as it's possible to toggle off the various notifications.

"Image Approval Notification" is enabled.

Does the CB Workflows module need to be assigned to a position?

Yes, you need to be able to see the module. The module displays links to the various approval pages as needed. If you can't see the module (e.g. not in a position) you won't be able to click the links.
