own language pack is not used

own language pack is not used was created by softwareprofi
Hallo,

I'm building a community site (Joomla 3.4.1 and cb 2.0.7), where special translations are necessary. So I want to create my own language pack as described here forge.joomlapolis.com/projects/lan-cb/wiki .

Building was ok and the installation runs correct. I put the language to top priority, but cb do not use the package. Have I forgot something?

Thank you for help.

most likely yes - but cannot guess without the language package to inspect.

What is de-VH ?

Is there such a language code?

Please note that CB Language plugins follow the Joomla language concept.

So I am guessing that you need a Joomla language pack for de-VH installed also.

Otherwise you might have to change the de-VH codes to de-DE.

Hi Nick,

thank you for quick reply. For my site I need special translations because of the members of the group. For example I don't want to use the german word "Benutzer", I want to take the word "Mitglied". So if I change the translations in the language pack de-DE, they will be override by the next translation update. This should not happen. My consideration was to build my own language pack and rename it from de-DE to de-VH, then my special translations would not be override. Perhaps this is not the right way, but how can I avoid this? Should I better take language overrides?
