I looked around and could not find one - is there a tutorial on how to properly migrate a site from CB1.9.1 to CB2.x? If not what steps should I take? I'm using a lot of plugins and CBsubs GPL. Thanks

CB 2.3, CBsubs 4.3, PHP 7.1, J! 3.9.X

We have the below tutorial explaining Joomla 2.5 to 3.x, which has some CB 2.x instructions as well. You can find this below.

www.joomlapolis.com/support/tutorials/95-installation/18478-migrating-from-joomla-25-to-joomla-33

We also have the new CB 2.0 Primer Book that goes into detail CB 2.x and its features, which will help understand the differences between 1.x and 2.x

www.joomlapolis.com/news/18492-cb-primer-book-designed-to-help-you-learn

Next we've videos for various CB 2.x usages, installation, etc.. that you can find below.

www.youtube.com/user/Joomlapolis

More specifically the CB 1.x to CB 2.x video can be found below.

Finally we've the below plugin compatibility chart to help with upgrading your CB plugins.

You can't install the new ones until you've upgraded to CB 2.x. Once you've upgraded to CB 2.x yes you install the new ones over top as you would any plugin upgrade. Be sure to create a backup of your site before doing any upgrading encase you need to revert back if something happens during upgrade.

will the old plugin contents remain - example: all of my custom coding for CB Conditional and Auto Actions?

Yes, CB Auto Actions will migrate existing actions. CB Conditional parameters didn't change except a few being removed so nothing to migrate. CB Gallery will migrate CB ProfileGallery entries into it as well. Again, please be sure you've made a backup though as it's possible for a 3rd party extension/plugin to interrupt CBs installer and has happened to a few users.
