Problem with menues in Groupjive

Problem with menues in Groupjive was created by timstohr
Hey guys,

I have created an "all groups" menu using GJ. Now I would like to move the menu that was created under GJ Menues to the Main Menu.

However,

the GJ menu "all groups" does not have the menu item type filled out, meaning that Joomla is refusing to move it it to the main menu.

Possible bug?

Yes, it's a known issue. The menus are generated directly in Joomlas database so it doesn't have a valid type. This will be fixed in the upgrade. You maybe able to workaround the issue by selecting Community Builder > Plugin and selecting CB GroupJive for the Plugin parameter, but that may break the URL.

Thanks for the quick reply. When is the upgrade coming out? I mean timewise? I know you have to work on CB activity etc...

Was just wondering if in weeks or months.

No idea. RC1 of CB Activity is finally done, but we've got some fixes/features to get into 2.0.8 and release to 2.0.8 first (mandatory for CB Activity 3.0.0-rc.1). There are plans for an RC2 and possible RC3, but once it hits stable I'll be upgrading GJ.

Update... work around does not work.

Best I can suggest then is to use External Joomla menu items and directly point to GJs pages. See the below for a few of those URLs.
