Hi there,

I've just installed CB 2.0.7 on Joomla 3.4.1 and I noticed that When I delete a user from the backend the profile picture does not get deleted from /images/comprofiler.

I have tried only with Facebook registered users via Cb Connect 6.0.5

I would like to know if this is working as expected since it surprises me that we could end up with lots of "dead" images on the server.

What happens when a user updates the profile or canvas picture? does the old one remain on the server?

Thanks

Please download and read the CB PRIMER Book.

When you install Community Builder you need to always use the CB User Management page to delete users. This way CB will know to delete all relevant user data and files.

If you keep using the Joomla User Management page you will basically only partially remove your user and push CB / Joomla out of sync.

So, if you have in fact used Joomla to remove a user then you should try the CB Tools User sync item and see if it cleans up after you.

Yes old uploads are removed.

Sorry for not being clear. I meant when the deleting a user from Community Builder backend (I did NOT use Joomla to remove the user), it seems that CB does not get rid of the profile picture downloaded from facebook.

Can you see this behaviour your side?

When a user is deleted from CB > User Management it'll delete their avatar as well. The only reason for that to fail is if the link between the avatar and the user was broken for whatever reason (e.g. avatar column being empty while file still exists).
