This is more a "food for thought" rather than question.

I have used CB and Joomla since the early days of the Egyptian times.
Joomla 1.0 etc, even used Missus as the message system.
Updated to 1.5, no problem.
Updated to 2.5, no problem.
But this updating to 3.4.1 is a nightmare!
I have tried that CBJuice thingy, but that is total rubbish for me, as I cannot get it to work. Even export of users on one site, then re importing to the same site (yes, removed user first!), didn't work for me.

So ok, I am jumping into the SQL transfer etc... and this is just not easy!

Don't get me wrong... but every component on the market has an upgrade system that works built in, or accompanying.
I can get everything ported over without any problems. Even the Virtuemart shop with over 3000 products, and sales and shipping methods, all imports easily!
Comments, Hotspots, Event stuff, sliders, carousels, videos, galleries etc etc.

Since CB is so incredibly compatible with all Joomla versions, why can't the upgrade be just as easy?
I mean, you made that all-in-one package installation, which is amazing btw.
But an upgarde system, that actually works would be helpful.

Quick stab at CBJuice... it states stuff about compatibility stuff... but the files that work on J2.5 is not exactly easy to find.
Now sure, I know the dude doing it is fantastic etc. But, that doesn't help much when it is set up like this.
It is not on the level of CB that I know.

I know... I'm griping... just a frustrated that I can't get this upgrade to work.
I'll write something nicer when I get it working.

Oh yeah, just to inform, I have PRO hosting.

My understanding is that upgrading from J2.5 to J3.4.1 is done easily without the need for CB Juice or anything like this.

Yes I know...
A super simple upgrade, one click and it's done.
But, that is obviously not the case for a stack load of users, since CB Juice actually exists.

The problem is NOT with simple sites doing a super simple upgrade.
The problem arises when a site is complex, with loads of diverse components etc built in.
Then a one-click approach doesn't do the job.
Some components follow this method, others need to be imported.

Which means building a temporary subdomain to port users over to first.
I know the answer is that it is not your problem. And I agree, it isn't.
As I said, I'm just bitchin' a bit, because everything here is at a standstill just because of this.
I'll get it in the end... I hope.

Upgrading from J2.5 to J3.4.1 should not be influenced by/from third-party extensions.
The upgrade should normally complete and then you can check if any of your components or templates needs tweaking.

Sorry - at this point I am not understanding what your issue is nor the need to use CB Juice.

I have upgraded many J2.5 sites to J3.x without any issues.

Cb 1.9.1 and CB 2.0.X are compatible on both J2.5 and J3.x environments.

CB Juice is for exporting and importing CB users. I recommend the below tutorial so you know what to expect, but beyond that there is no cause for concern.

www.joomlapolis.com/support/tutorials/95-installation/18478-migrating-from-joomla-25-to-joomla-33

In short Joomla calls it a "Mini-Migration" with the most major incompatibility being Joomla templates. As always before upgrading anything be sure to create full backups.
