One specific moderator per group was created by ComLeads
Hi,

I am building a website for schools parents. Each class (100) = one group.
For each class/group, 2 parents are designated as "representative" and are the one to post information from the school / teacher...

My question is how can I organize it ? Is it possible to "declare" 2 moderators per groups ? Do I have to create in the users categories one moderator category per group (100) or is there a more effective way ?

Second question : With CB auto, I manage to make users to join groups on registration depending on their children class. Fine.
My problem is the users join the groups but not the category. As a result, if they click on "my categories" it's empty. How can I make they join the category as well ?

Thanks

I assume by group you're referring to CB GroupJive group. For what you're wanting I would have the teacher of the class be the group owner and the parent representative be admins of the class group. This will allow them to moderator the groups content without complete control over the group. GJ groups have 4 user statuses: Owner, Admin, Moderator, User. There's no limit to Admin, Moderator, and User statuses in a GJ group. So you can have 2, 4, etc.. Admins as needed.

My problem is the users join the groups but not the category. As a result, if they click on "my categories" it's empty. How can I make they join the category as well ?

You don't join categories. My category is categories the user is the owner of.

Hi,

For the class owner, I am ok. But for the moderator, I am missing something.

Each of my 100 hundred groups are private from each other and have 1 to 2 specific moderators. But a moderator of group A must not have access to group B and not moderate it.

When I create a new group, I don't see where I can specify user A and user B only as moderators ? Can you advise ?
Thanks

And regarding the link "my categories" : how can I make it appears only if "my categories" is not empty ?

Best Regards,

GJ group moderators are moderators of that specific group. Same for GJ group admins. A CB moderator has moderator access to everything so that's not what you're needing to use in this case. To promote people to Group Admin or Group Moderator you need to use the promote button on the Users tab of your group.

And regarding the link "my categories" : how can I make it appears only if "my categories" is not empty ?

You can't without modifying the template file and adding an IF statement to its tab display so it won't output if there are no categories. The GJ template files can be found at the below location.
