When creating a new group in groupjive from the back end and adding a logo to the group it gives an error but the group is created. Going into the "public_html/images/comprofiler/plug_cbgroupjive" folder I see the folder that was created for the group with the same ID has a permission of 0043. If I change the permission to 0755 it allows me to up load the logo. I upload the logo and go into the folder
"public_html/images/comprofiler/plug_cbgroupjive/104" and see the logo has 2 .jpg files with the permissions of 0420, if i change those to 0644 and create menu items that are external url and use the alias i can get it it to work ok...so it seems that the folders are being created with the permissions of 0043 & 0420.I have checked with SiteGround and they said that all my rules are ok on the server. Why is GroupJive creating folders with the wrong permissions? Thanks
Check the folder and file permission settings within CB GroupJive > Configuration > General > Global. They can be set using the "Folder Permission" and "File Permission" parameters. If that's still not working the chmod and/or umask probably isn't working on your host for GJ to be able to change the permission of the folder and file.
