I am trying to use Youku to link a video with CB Gallery, but it does not accept it. It only gives a few options. However, when linking a video with CB Groups, it accepts Youku and videos from many other sites. Can Gallery be updated to increase the support options for linking videos like Groups? Any quick fix to get Youku videos working when linking with Gallery? Thanks.
No, it supports whatever
mediaelement
supports. Nothing beyond that will be added. The JS plugin being used handles YouTube and HTML5 formats. It's also worth noting this change will come to GJ as well and has also already been made to Video fieldtypes. If you want support for Youku you'd need to contribute to the mediaelement project and once officially supported there it can be supported in CB. This may change later once we've a centralized API to handle media nodes, but until then it's not feasible to maintain a dozen different media implementations.
