[SOLVED] CB login module not working; loads cb-login page instead

Upgrade to 2.0.9 and see if issue persists. You're quite a few bug fix releases behind.

I have just upgraded to 2.0.9 and the behavior is the same -- module still redirects to the CB login page, which works.

Edit your CB Login module and ensure your login redirect is valid. If you've CB Auto Actions installed see if you're acting on a login trigger for any action and disable that action to see if it could be causing your issue. The login page is the login module so it doesn't make any sense for 1 to work and not the other as we call Joomla API to render the first accessible CB login module as our login page.

OK, well the original module just had a blank redirect because we want just the current page to reload on login. (Which was working fine up until last week, hence my original post

But I set a few different redirect targets for testing, and very time I still got the same behavior: try to log in via the module, get redirected to the CB Login page, log in on the CB Login page, login successfully (but just get redirected to the home page after login, regardless of what redirect is set in the module).

I can give you a test user so you can see the behavior yourself if needed -- starting to get a little desperate here as I can't understand what is happening.

Please PM backend super administrator login credentials and will take a look.

Have reviewed your install. It's due to a HTTPS redirect. I'm guessing you've set that up using htaccess or maybe a 3rd party extension. You'll notice when this happens you'll be on the HTTPS versions of your site and the login module then works fine (so does the login page). If you want to use HTTPS you need to edit your CB login modules and under "Login and Logout Options" set "Encrypt Login Form" to "Yes".
