Is it just me or is CB 1.91 faster than CB 2. (series) Site Loads Faster with 1.9,EVEN when adding a NEW FIELD, CB 1.9 is much much faster than CB 2.08 (Series). Makes me wanna revert my existing site back to 1.91. Anyone else experiencing the same issue ?
(Same Webhosting Provider and Package, same PHP, Same everything, except 2 series takes a longer to complete the task )
Anything I can do to speed it up on par with 1.91 ??
CB 1.x had half the features CB 2.x does. We've a full blown API library and XML engine in CB 2.x. I don't see how you could even compare them. We've also some API optimizations we still need to do.
It's highly subjective to what you've installed and how much has been installed. I'm constantly profiling a fully loaded CB 2.x install and improving performance with nearly every CB and plugin release.
Another huge cause of slow downs is Joomla 3.x debugger at the bottom of the page. If you've more than 100 queries it destroys page performance due to its usage of jQuery. Turning off Joomla debug mode will increase performance exponentially (in my tests up to 3x faster).
