Field for selecting while typing information

Is it possible to have a field in CB that selects information from a query and brings the information into a drop down for selection. For example, if the user type the first few letters, the query only brings those records that matched the selection and the user would pick a record from the selection. It could be all in one field and as the user begins to type the drop down would expand.

No, we've no such fieldtype. Although it's possible with our API and even our jQuery (using cbselect jQuery plugin) we've no such fieldtype available at this time.

Nope, a new fieldtype plugin would need to be developed from the ground up. It'd need to utilize our cbselect jQuery plugin, which is just an extension of select2 so select2 parameters work it to too and you'd need to use its ajax usage to call the fields fieldClass function (see CB Core Fields Ajax to see how this is done).
