Hi,

I have a long multi-select field. I want to set a maximum of 4 choices from this field.
I read here dropdown multiselect that for now tehre is no stnadard solution for this.
As a workable solution it is suggested to use autoaction and jquery for this.
"You maybe able to use jQuery and CB Auto Actions to add that jQuery with a Code action to the profile edit page and registration page to limit the selection, but there would be no PHP side security to enforce it."
Can you be more specific and indicate how to do this?

Any suggestions much appreciated. Thank you.

Greetings,
Paul

We don't have such an implementation. You have to write custom coding for it. It really would need to be a new CB plugin that extends the select field with new validation for it to be secured server and browser side. See CB Query Field and its Query Validation for example of how to extend fields with new validation.
