GJ: Problem with events time not showing the proper time set in events form was created by timstohr

Hey Kyle,

A user tried to set an event in a group in Saigon (Vietnam). He input 8.30 pm.

However, when finished, it showed 2.30 in the event.

When clicking on edit, I saw his inputted time of 8.30.

Joomla is set to Saigon time (the server is based in Germany though). What did I miss?

GJ hasn't been upgraded for CB 2.x yet. So it's using its own internal API to try and handle UTC dates. The fixed GJ events integration was quickfixed with CB 2.x API to stop a fatal jQuery bug. There is likely an odd conflict between the two usages causing the offset to be wrong. This will all be fixed when I upgrade GJ. The way our date usage works, or should work, is you select a datetime in local time then it stores it as UTC. Then on display it's offset to local based off who is viewing it. Looks like that's working in reverse for GJ events.
