Increasing the memory limit on my server from 128M to 256M fixed my issue! Now everything is working.

I increased my php.ini memory_limit to 256M yesterday and I thought everything was working fine. There were sill a few users complaining that they couldn't upload images, so I had them send them to me to test and most were working fine for me. However, I did have problems with one 2.2 GB image, so thinking it may be a memory_limit issue again, I decided to up the limit to 512MB, just to see if it was the issue, and still no-go. I get the same white screen again and with maximum errors on, I got the following message below.

Fatal error: Out of memory (allocated 234094592) (tried to allocate 84105217 bytes) in /home/pestalen/public_html/libraries/CBLib/Imagine/Gd/Image.php on line 617

I also installed ImageMagick on my cPanel servers and I am still getting the same issue. I'll investigate how to make CB 2.0.9 use ImageMagic in lieu of GD. It was not an option yet under the configuration tab for Images.

I really hope you meant MB, lol. CB Gallery doesn't limit your uploads. Your server does. If you want to support bigger images then you need a better server. The bigger the images the more memory it takes to process them. It can also help to use ImageMagick instead of GD as ImageMagick is more optimized (contact your host to see if they offer it).

I also installed ImageMagick on my cPanel servers and I am still getting the same issue. I'll investigate how to make CB 2.0.9 use ImageMagic in lieu of GD. It was not an option yet under the configuration tab for Images.

CB Gallery uses the image software of CB. So whatever you configure, and is working, in CB > Configuration > Images is whatever CB Gallery will use.

Any suggestions on why ImageMagick is not showing up as an Image Software option in the Community Builder 2.0.9 Configuration after it has been successfully installed on my server.

I also had my server support department verify the installation...

After reviewing further, I see no reason why Community Builder is not seeing ImageMagick. From the server side, ImageMagick is working correctly. I would suggest inquiring with the developer here:

www.joomlapolis.com/support

as this appears to be an issue within CB. Please let me know if I can be of further assistance.

The "Imagick" PHP class must exist and you must use ImageMagick 6.2.9 or greater.
