Hello I have an issue that I am unable to solve and not sure if I am overlooking something. All the tabs inside of the groups for groupjive in the front end are bunched together on the right. I am not sure what would have caused this.
Switch to default Joomla template and see if your issue persists. Looks like your template maybe applying a float without clearing it.

I dont have the default template installed anymore for the site. This just started happening recently but I cant seem to pin point why. Could another component cause this? As it only seems to be affecting groups and not the top categories
You'll have to right click and inspect element on the tabs then work your way up the DOM until you find what CSS being applied to it is doing that. I am unable to confirm locally on default Joomla template so something installed is likely causing the conflict. Most likely it's coming from your template, but as you deleted the default (everyone, please stop doing this..) there's no way to really confirm without another template that that's the cause. It could also be a module on that page doing it. If it only started happening recently try to recall everything that has changed recently.

I only uninstalled the template as I thought Joomla stated to do so to uninstall any modules, plugins and templates you are not using. But after disabling and re enabling the tabs it seems to have worked not sure why.
Edit: It was the custom CSS that was causing the issue, removed:

height: 100px !important;
}
