Auto join GJ group during registration?

Good tutorials.

I would really like to integrate groupJive with registration info using conditionals.
i.e. If a member selects "USA" as country during the registration process, they would automatically become members of the "USA" group.

Is this functionality possible?

GJ Auto comes with a fieldtype to do exactly that. There's no need for a conditional or any other plugin. Ensure GJ Auto is installed then create a new field with the type Auto Join.

I have GJ Auto enabled, and have set up auto join, based on the field "cb_countryinfo" - which is a dropdown (Query Drop Down (Single Select)) field.

I have set the conditional to be:

[cb_countryinfo] Equal to Canada
(I know I have a lot of mambers registered with this)

Triggers are set to "onBeforeFirstLogin,onAfterCheckCbFieldsDb" so that on login it will trigger, but also I'd like to force the auto join when I set it up.

Access set to Registered users.

Nothing happening though ....

What am I missing?
Is there a tutorial for this?

The trigger acts during the registration process it will not retroactively change already registred members.

You don't setup anything for GJ Auto except for the Auto Join field. It provides a select field for a user to select group(s) to join automatically with their registration. You don't need triggers, auto actions, or conditions at all. The field handles the entire selection and joining process.
