Session expired or cookies are not enabled - no configuration, no cb-plugins install

Hi,

I'm quite a bit frustraded as I can not manage to solve the problme my own.
Thus I'm here looking for help.

I would like to install a CB plugins. But whenever I press the "install CB Plugin" I get the "Session expired or cookies are not enabled ..." error.

Environment (I've tested FF, GC and IE in latest version):
joomla 3.4.1
CB 2.0.9
also installed:
jnews, akeeba backup and akeeba admin tools (prof.)

I want to install the lates jnews plugin because jnews is not working any more since I updated CB to the latest version.

I hope this is enough for anyone out there to make my day by helping me?!?

One more - the same "session expired"-error occurs when I try to enter the CB configuration.

Is your latest jNews plugin compatible with CB 2.x? or Joomla 3.x? It could be a compatibility issue. Is that the only CB plugin doing this?

yes, it is compatible with the latest version.

But I would be happy, if this would be the issue.
I don't even get that far.

Whenever I hit the "install CB-Plugins"-button or when I try to enter the CB-configuration, the "session expired"-error pops up.

Thus - neither jnews nor any other plugins seems to cause the problem.
Or am I wrong???

Ah, I understand you can't even reach the install plugin page. Please install the latest CB 2.x nightly release below.

Once done please retest and see if issue persists. If it does enable debug mode and maximum error reporting in Joomla global configuration to see if any errors expose.

:S - no luck so far, but maybe we're getting close?

nightly build installed - no changes.
debug mode and maximum error report activated

4 duplicates found - big issue? I guess not.
I have the debug result saved in some files.
If you need it - how can I send it to you?
It includes the table-prefix and I don't know if this is OK and safe for me, if I attach the files to this post?


Anyway - I hired a local expert to help me with this problem.
After some digging we discovered, that the cb-session-table is empty.
Our guess - this leads us to the cause of this problem???
You can find a screenshot attached.

We also deactivated some plugins (e.g. akeeba admin tools) to make sure, there's no interference - but no changes at all (at least from our point of view).

The CB sessions table isn't used for anything unless specifically designed to. Only old plugin that used it was CB Captcha. It's not the cause of your issue.

What's next?

Please PM backend super administrator login credentials and will take a look.
