This Field is required

I have required fields in my registration form, www.thejungle.uk.net/members/register but get a This Field is Required error message when I tab from the previous field. This is very annoying for subscribers as they haven't yet had a chance to populate the field. How can I prevent this?

I don't understand the issue. Appears to be working perfectly fine. When you tab to the field it gains focus and runs validation. The icons can not be the only indication of required state as you can freely turn them off.

This can't be how it works, whenever I fill out forms online, it will only ever flag a field as required after I've submitted the form, not as I tab to every field. Did you visit my registration page to see what I was talking about?

When a field takes focus its validation will trigger (this means clicking the input or tabbing to it). That's how our validation works. It is intentionally designed this way. It keeps the user informed as they go through the form. It's especially important if the icons are toggled off. Why wait until they've filled out the entire form and pressed the button to tell them they've done something wrong. It's significantly more UX friendly to let them know what they need to do immediately.
