It doesn't just happen when I use CBJuice.

If I save a new user in CB User Manager without a password and use the following configurations I get these results...

save as Approve=Approved, Confirm=Pending
check Confirmed
welcome email sent: Password=[PASSWORD]

save as Approve=Pending, Confirm=Confirmed
check Approved
welcome email sent: Password=[PASSWORD]

save as Approve=Pending, Confirm=Pending
check Confirmed = no email sent
check Approved = welcome email sent: Password=[PASSWORD]

save as Approve=Pending, Confirm=Pending
check Approved = pending email sent: Password=[PASSWORD]
check Confirmed = welcome email sent: Password=[PASSWORD]

It's doing my head in... I've been going round in circles for over a week!

I don't know what more to advise. I've ran your same tests and they're working fine with the below configuration.

CB > Configuration > Registration
Generate Registration Passwords: Yes
Admin Approval: Yes
Email Confirmation: Yes

In both "Pending Email Body" and "Welcome Email Body" I used [DETAILS] and not [password] directly.

I then created a user that is approved, but pending confirmation. I then approved them by clicking the icon in CB > User Management. The user then received the Welcome email with a working newly generated password.

THAT'S IT!!! [DETAILS] works, [PASSWORD] doesn't!

Thank you Thank you Thank you!

One more question... is it possible to separate the user [DETAILS] onto separate lines in an html welcome email?

It already should be on new lines as the string is sent with linebreaks. Looks fine in my tests to local mailer output and to a yahoo email address.

Hmmm, strange...

I have tried it as html in a <div> and as a paragraph <p>

<td style="text-align: left;">
<div>To login visit <a> www.tommyhafeyclub.com.au

<div>[DETAILS]</div>
</td>

<td style="text-align: left;">
<p>To login visit <a> www.tommyhafeyclub.com.au

<p>[DETAILS]</p>
</td>

Both give me the same result!

When I use the default CB registration message I get this...

Your Name: Tony MORAN Your Username: tonymoran Your Details: Email: tony@flashpoint.net.au Name: Tony MORAN Username: tonymoran Password: 1SevCLOUB1cY Your Password: [PASSWORD] Your Confirmation Link: Email address is already confirmed NOTE: This email was automatically generated from The Tommy Hafey Club ( www.tommyhafeyclub.com.au ).

Ok, it's only a problem when Registration Email HTML = Yes. When I send the default message with Registration Email HTML = No the linebreaks magically work!!
