[SOLVED] Community Builder incorrectly reports invalid email address was created by pebeecher
Hi,

The email address: forename.surname.dept@university_name.ac.jp is reported as invalid by Community Builder. How can I fix this?

The specific example you gave does not validate in Joomla user manager also.

So I am guessing there is something fundumentaly wrong with this address or there is a bug in joomla.

Edit: Also does not validate here:
isemail.info/forename.surname.dept%40university_name.ac.jp

the _ char is not allowed in a domain name.

Sorry, I should have checked this more thoroughly before reporting. t looks like the user gave an incorrect email address: it should have been university-name.ac.jp not university_name.ac.jp
