Create a new tab in a not shown on profile position in CB > Tab Management then edit the field in CB > Field Management and move it to your new tab. This allows it to still function for getFields API and substitutions, but be hidden from profile. Alternatively you can turn off its profile display within CB > Field Management, but this will affect some substitutions and any getFields API usages for that field.

Find the field you don't wanted displayed on profile in CB > Field Management. Edit the field and set "Show on Profile" to "No".
