Can you think of a way to utilize CB (and perhaps Conditionals or Auto Actions) to allow users to set up groups that would be able to edit the same Joomla article? As far as I know, Groupjive creates groups but they are not in sync with Joomla user groups or Joomla access levels, so it doesn't really help when setting up access control.

Perhaps a specific scenario will help: My users create pet profiles using a CCK. I use Form2content, which saves information as native Joomla articles. Sometimes I have clients (like rescue centers) that have multiple staff members that may need to edit the same animal profile (i.e., the same Joomla article). I'm looking for a way for article owners to create Joomla user groups so that they can share edit permission on specific articles.

Perhaps there is a way to use a CB plugin to trigger a connection between Groupjive and Joomla groups. Or maybe even some way to use RSForms and custom PHP to generate the groups. Does anyone have any ideas?

I'm using CB 2.0.10 and Joomla 3.4.3

CB GroupJive has nothing to do with Joomla usergroups (I'm unsure where this confusion keeps coming from). They have absolutely nothing in common. CB GroupJive provides community groups, it is not a means of access controls or anything of the sort.

I recommend just creating the usergroups manually (1 per rescue center?) or try using a Joomla content extension that can allow something like this. I don't recommend generating usergroups though, but I suppose it could be done based of a field and acting on the after profile update and after registration triggers.
