I have been asked if there is any way to set up group Events so that there is a charge collected for attending the event... to make matters slightly more complicated, the request is specifically:
Registered members can sign up for group events for free
Guests can sign up for events, but are charged a fee to sign up for the event.
Can this be done with anything existing?
Could CBSubs be extended to do something along these lines?
I'm definitely interested in this type of thing too. The idea would be to use Group Jive to create online "workshops" that registered users could pay and enroll for.
No, it has no code in place to allow this. Best I can suggest is to protect the Attend URL using CBSubs and its By URL Part protection. There are no plans to add such features, sorry. It is also not meant to allow the general public to attend events. Only those that are in the group may actually attend. I recommend looking into a Ticket/Event Joomla extension for your usage.
